Marrill Limited are looking for a contractor(s)/suppliers to carry out specified IT upgrades to our premises based in Waterman Road, Coventry. We are tendering for quotes for the completion of the following:

Systems Infrastructure / Cyber Protection / System Resilience

OT Infrastructure review to ensure all interfacing equipment with production machinery are securely backup up with BCP plans in place to recover in the event of a hardware / software failure. The plan will also be to hold critical spares on site to return systems to running state as quickly as possible.

LAN equipment review, plan to replace some aging network switches with new managed equipment which can be monitored to ensure performance and network traffic throughput identify any potential issues in future. New equipment will also be POE compatible for connection of CCTV camera, Wireless network hardware etc.

Our Sage Finance & Accounting system at Marrill Limited is due for upgrade to remain supported by our Business Partner. In order to achieve this, we require to make some Hardware and Software upgrades to our server to support the latest Sage version. In addition, we require professional services to migrate from our current version to the latest supported version.

Site Network Connectivity performance and Resilience / Cyber protection

In order to Improve performance and resilience into the business we are looking to migrate from individual Broadband site connections to an MPLS solution where the site will have 2 communication links into Coventry site with automatic failover in the event of a connectivity issue. Each link will be delivered from 2 separate telephone exchanges to gives additional protection. For connectivity into site for remote workers, VPN connectivity will be provided with MFA (Multi Factor Authentication).

We expect to commence this project as soon as possible i.e. December 2025 with completion 05th February 2026 at the latest. Payments will be made in instalments as each phase of the project is completed as above. We will assess each bid for the tender in the following way:

• Price (40%)
• Timescales (40%)
• Experience/track record (20%)

Marrill Group Limited is pleased to announce the commission of our new Loire 2500T Press at our Powys facility, the largest press of its kind in the UK.

Indeed, today’s commissioning marks the culmination of months of hard work by the team here at Powys and our various external partners. We’d like to pass on our sincerest thanks to all those who have worked tirelessly to get the project over the line.

Today marks a historic day in the history of the Marrill Group Limited as we can finally announce the completion of a deal to take over a dedicated manufacturing facility in Llanfylin, Powys, hereby to be known as Marrill (Powys) Limited.

The move has safeguarded the 102 jobs currently on-site and our further planned capital investment has the potential to create more new jobs and increase the Groups capabilities.

Our Group MD Jason Phillips has proudly said: “It has taken 18 months of hard work and negotiation to finalise this acquisition. With the combined efforts and support from the Welsh Government and Development Bank Wales, we are delighted with the final outcome. We will be investing in the plant and expect this acquisition to propel our Group Sales to circa £35m. It is a tremendous achievement, especially considering how the pandemic has stressed the manufacturing economy over the last 2 years.”
“The workforce is motivated, sales forecasts look buoyant and with our planned investment, we are excited by the opportunities that lie ahead for the plant.”

To mark the opening of the new site Marrill welcomed the Mayor of Llanfylin for a tour of the facility and to meet staff members. Cllr Lewis commented: “On behalf of Llanfyllin Town Council, I would like to congratulate Marrill Ltd for the investment into our town and local factory. This is a big investment for our town and we are pleased to see a new investment drive to ensure our small-Town factory survives.”

The acquisition of the Powys facility signifies the start of an exciting new chapter in the company’s history. Planned investment into the new facility includes the proposed installation of a new 2500T Loire Press, the largest of its kind in the UK, which will further enhance the groups already extensive manufacturing capabilities.
