Marrill is at the forefront of press tooling, design and component manufacture in the UK today. Established in 1964, Marrill Limited is now a £20m turnover business, supplying pressed metal fabricated parts from its two locations (Coventry and Gateshead). Marrill’s USP is that it has both Tooling design and manufacture as well as full in house production capability (press, laser, robot weld, fabrication).
For over 50 years, we have earned and maintained a stellar reputation for quality, cost and dependability.
Every aspect of a project created at Marrill – from design and simulation to tryout, pressing and assembly – is handled in-house by experienced and skilled engineers. We produce and ship hundreds of thousands of components every day, adding value at each stage of the process. We aim to meet or beat our customer’s timings , commercial and engineering objectives.
Located in the Midlands and the North East.
We have 33 presses at Marrill. These range from 60 tons right up to 1600 tons. Furthermore, we have tandem presses up to 800 tons and progression presses up to 500 tons. With the full range of 3 and 5 axes CNC machines, a 7.5m by 3m casting bed capacity and 30 ton cranes – we have enormous flexibility in the production of larger components.
One of our greatest skills is the ability to value engineer a product. We can make improvements and refinements that increase efficiency. We buy the raw materials direct from the foundries more competitively and keep the tooling process to a minimum. By keeping the unit cost down, we can pass on those savings to our customers.
From its Gateshead facility, Marrill press half a million steel and aluminium parts a week which primarily for supply the automotive industry.
From its Coventry Facility, Marrill design, manufacture and modify tools also offering 5 axis machining and laser cutting. Marrill also have a lower cost tooling route via its association with a Chinese tooling company (Project managed from China via Marrill’s China Office).
Marrill supply JCB (all divisions), Caterpillar, BE Aerospace and Aston Martin with fabricated assembled parts from this facility.
