Using a prototype tool for testing and refining can save money, both in the cost of materials and in the press design and manufacture.
The prototype, which is a very close approximation of the finished part, will be passed back to the customer for comprehensive function testing before going into full production. Prototyping also gives Marrill greater expertise when it comes to the actual tooling process.
Marrill are at the forefront of UK design and simulation and will ensure that the prototype tooling can be used for the final tool, which will be simulated and designed for manufacture.
As well as experienced designers and welders, the Coventry facility is equipped with 5 axis laser cutters, assembly cells and MIG and Spot welders.
